Issue Position: Support for Aid to Israel

Issue Position

It is in our national strategic interests to maintain robust aid to Israel. We must doe everything we can to protect Israel's Qualitative Military Edge (QME). As a Member of Congress, I will fully support the 2007 Memorandum of Understanding and the annual appropriations outlined in this 10-year funding commitment. The approximately $3 billion per year is a good deal for the American taxpayer. Not only do these funds enable Israel to maintain the military capability necessary to serve as a strong deterrent, but nearly 75% of these funds are spent in the US aerospace and defense industry--creating American jobs.
