Issue Position: Support for the Peace Process

Issue Position

Israel has always had as its primary goal to have a peaceful coexistence with its Arab neighbors. I am oppose to efforts to force Israel to make concessions as a pre-condition to negotiation while the Hamas-led government continues to permit rocket attacks and other acts of terrorism to originate from its territory, refuses to recognize Israel's right to exist, and fails to institute democratic and free-market economic reforms. Peace will only be possible when the Palestinian people demand a democratically-elected government that will recognize Israel's right to exist and negotiate directly with Israel in good faith.
