Issue Position

In Hawaii, we import nearly 90% of our food supply. It is vital to our State's future that we keep agricultural lands in agricultural production, and support the growth of a local food and farming economy. I will support investment in the local farm industry and promotion of local products. Policies such as low-interest agricultural loans and crop insurance will increase local food production and keep money circulating in our local economy.
