St. Paul, MN - Today, Congresswoman Betty McCollum (MN-04) released the following statement upon news of Senator Mark Dayton's Washington D.C. office closure:
"Sadly, our nation's capital is always a potential target for terrorism. This is a reality we are all aware of since September 11th. My staff and I rely on the sound professional judgment of U.S. Capitol Police to keep us informed and safe. At this time, our office has not received any notice of any a heightened threat. My congressional offices in Washington and St. Paul will remain open for business."
