Issue Position

Shelley Moore Capito is fighting hard for economic policies that create an environment for the private sector to create good paying jobs. The approach of the current Administration to overwhelm the nation's job creators and to create an overbearing EPA that is set on crushing West Virginia's energy production is the wrong approach. So-called "stimulus spending" has done little to create jobs but instead has bloated the size of State and Federal governments and added to our deficits.

Shelley is leading efforts to keep taxes low and oppose unnecessary roadblocks from being set on our job creators. She has voted to keep taxes low for West Virginia families and has taken the lead in promotion of small businesses by helping entrepreneurs access capital needed to allow them to grow and create new jobs.
