SNOWE, COLLINS ANNOUNCE MORE THAN $250,000 IN USDA FUNDING
WASHINGTON, D.C.-U.S. Senators Olympia Snowe (R-ME) and Susan Collins (R-ME) today announced that the Aroostook Home Care Agency will receive a total of $264,448 in federal funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Distance Learning and Telemedicine Program to assist in medical technology development.
"This funding is vital to improving the quality of medical services and technology available to rural families throughout Maine." Snowe and Collins said in a joint statement. "More accessible healthcare and greater educational resources are critical to ensuring improved and more reliable services for those who need them most."
