Plummer Outlines His Pro-Growth Agenda at Pulaski County Townhall

Despite his opponent's absence, 12th Congressional Candidate and Businessman Jason Plummer met with voters and fielded their questions at a townhall forum on Thursday, May 24, at Shawnee College in Pulaski County. The Thursday evening event was originally scheduled as a debate between the two congressional candidates, but was shifted to the townhall format after Brad Harriman chose not to attend.

"We had hoped Mr. Harriman would participate in this forum, but I'm still appreciative of the opportunity to meet with Illinois families to outline my ideas to reduce spending, create jobs, and implement a real all-of-the-above energy policy," Plummer said. "The only way to know what issues the voters really care about is to meet with them, and I appreciate their willingness to participate in the political process."

"This election calls for serious leaders to offer serious solutions for the problems that Illinois families face," Plummer added. "I enjoyed meeting with constituents in Pulaski County, and I look forward to meeting with many more voters across the 12th District over the coming months."

As a community leader and businessman, Jason Plummer serves his country as an Intelligence Officer in the U.S. Naval Reserves and serves in his community as Vice President of Corporate Development at R.P. Lumber Company, a family-owned and operated business that, along with other Plummer family businesses, is involved in creating and maintaining more than 1,000 quality jobs. In his community, Plummer has coached youth sports and been involved in other civic organizations, such as currently serving on the Executive Board of the Lewis & Clark Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
