Defend the Constitution:

As a United States Army officer, I took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution against all enemies--foreign and domestic. I take that oath seriously, both on the battlefield and here at home. Many in Washington see the limitations of the Constitution as optional, believing they know better than our Founders. I firmly disagree. The Constitution is very clear--the reach of the federal government is limited and enumerated, and all other aspects of governance are left to the states and to the people. Before voting for any law, I will first hold it to the highest possible test: Is it Constitutional?
