Stop Wasteful Spending and Cut the Debt:

It's not breaking news, but it is a sobering fact--spending is out of control in Washington. Both Democrats and Republicans are to blame. With a national debt above $15.5 trillion, annual trillion-dollar deficits, and entitlement programs that will literally bankrupt our country, we are headed off a fiscal cliff. We need a Senator in Washington who will courageously reign in spending and leave no program--or department--unexamined. We can't afford to just tinker at the margins of discretionary spending, but instead need to take a hard look at the largest drivers of our deficits--entitlement programs like Medicare and Social Security--and ensure we reform them and make them financially solvent, saving those programs for today's seniors and future generations. I am a fiscal conservative who will go to Washington and vote like one.
