Simplify the Tax Code:

As it currently stands, the tax code requires a legion of lawyers and accountants to navigate the individual and corporate tax codes--leaving average Minnesotans and small businesses at a disadvantage. We need to restructure and reform the tax code to make it accessible and understandable to all taxpayers. This will level the playing field for rich and poor, large, and small alike. By simplifying the tax code, and closing complicated loopholes, we will broaden the tax base and ensure everyone pays their fair share. As for our businesses, the corporate tax rate must be reduced to ensure we keep our businesses in Minnesota, and attract new businesses to our state.
