Today, Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) released the following statement on Earth Day and the importance of environmental protection.
"Nothing says better the meaning of Earth Day than the Native American proverb: "We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.' On this day, and everyday, let us redouble our resolve to fight for precious gifts of air, water, and earth that are our most lasting legacy. Good stewardship should be national policy."
