Our nation's first responders, our firefighters and police officers, put their lives on the line everyday to keep us safe. First responders are our first line of defense in an emergency. They are the backbone of our communities. During the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Centers and the attack of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, local police officers and fire fighters helped approximately 15,000 men, women, and children escape safely. I am committed to providing these brave patriots with the tools necessary to perform at their best - which ultimately means saving lives and minimizing danger.
