Larsen Announces Grants to Expand Affordable Housing for Families in Bellingham and Mount Vernon

Rep. Rick Larsen, WA-02, today announced more than $1.5 million in funding for affordable housing for low-income families and economic development in Bellingham and Mount Vernon. The Department of Housing and Urban Development grants will be used by the cities to improve affordable housing and expand economic opportunities for low- and moderate-income residents.

"These grants will create local construction jobs and help low-income families keep a roof over their heads," Larsen said. "I am a strong supporter of local programs like these expand access to affordable housing and promote economic development."
