In light of Pinnacle Airline's decision to file for bankruptcy protection, we write to request that your company honor its obligations to the families of those who lost their lives in the crash of Continental Flight 3407 on February 12, 2009. More than three years after that crash, the families continue to work through their grief to ensure landmark flight safety legislation they helped enact is fully implemented. As Colgan Air's parent company, we trust that Pinnacle will do all in its power to help bring closure to these families despite its financial challenges.

As you know, the National Transportation Safety Board determined that Colgan Air's "inadequate procedures" contributed to the crash of Flight 3407. After hearing directly from you last year, we know you are committed to improving flight safety and preventing such an accident from happening again. As Pinnacle works through this difficult time for your company, we urge you to remember and honor the victims of Flight 3407 by fulfilling your commitments to their families.

Please know that we are closely monitoring Pinnacle's reorganization. We look forward to working with you on behalf of the Families of Continental Flight 3407 during this process.
