It's Official: West Virginians Are Feeling Pain At The Pump

This month, Mint.com analyzed data from U.S. Census Bureau, AAA Fuel Gauge Report, and US Energy Information Administration and found that West Virginians pay the 2nd HIGHEST gas prices as a percentage of average annual income. Residents of the Mountain state typically spend over 10% of their annual income to fill up at the pump.

"This Adminstration's energy policies are bad for the economy and bad for West Virginians. West Virginians should be outraged at this study's findings. This Administration is already shutting down energy plants and destroying jobs, threatening to increase utility prices by attacking our most abundant resources and now West Virginians are facing skyrocekting gas prices that are sure to only get worse when summer hits," stated Capito. "Enough is enough."

House Republicans have passed legislation to help harness America's resources while putting people back to work.
