Today after the House Committee on Small Business approved a package of bills, Rep. Gary Peters issued the following statement:

"Today I offered an amendment to H.R. 3850 which was designed to increase small business contracting to minority and economically disadvantaged individuals to help grow our economy. During this process, I spoke with Chairman Sam Graves and Ranking Member Nydia Velázquez and received a commitment to work together to make progress on this important issue as H.R. 3850 moves to the floor. I am encouraged by their willingness to work with me in a bipartisan fashion on this issue."
