Pete Sessions Applauds Passage of JOBS Act

Statement

Date: March 8, 2012
Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions (R-Dallas), a Member of House Republican Leadership, today released the following statement regarding House passage of the Jumpstart Our Business Startup (JOBS) Act:

"I applaud the passage of this common-sense legislation that will encourage small businesses -- the engine of our economy -- to invest and grow by increasing their access to capital. By removing burdensome government red-tape that stifles innovation, American entrepreneurs can once again thrive and create much-needed jobs.

"Since the 112th Congress began, House Republicans have worked relentlessly on pro-growth proposals to address our nation's staggering unemployment rate and reenergize the free enterprise system. I urge the Senate to act quickly on this legislation, as well as the more than 30 House-passed bills that have been awaiting action for months, to help struggling Americans find work and put our nation back on a path towards economic prosperity."
