Press Release

Date: March 9, 2012
Location: Washington, DC

Today U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) released the following statement ahead of President Obama's planned trip to Houston:

"Barely 24 hours after maneuvering behind the scenes to defeat the Keystone pipeline and the Gulf Coast jobs that come with it, the President again will use Texas to replenish his campaign coffers.

"Texans deserve a Commander-in-Chief whose primary concern is creating more jobs for them, not using our state as an ATM to protect his own."

Senator Cornyn serves on the Finance, Judiciary, Armed Services and Budget Committees. He serves as the top Republican on the Judiciary Committee's Immigration, Refugees and Border Security subcommittee. He served previously as Texas Attorney General, Texas Supreme Court Justice, and Bexar County District Judge.
