Congressman Tom Cole (OK-04) released the following statement after the House Committee on Natural Resources favorably reported H.R. 3263, the Lake Thunderbird Efficient Use Act:

"We're now one step closer to ensuring Central Oklahoma's water needs are met. The Lake Thunderbird Efficient Use Act would supply much-needed water at no added cost to taxpayers. Solving the water shortage is vital to the area's continued economic growth, and there's a very good chance my bill will be signed into law soon. The further deterioration in lake conditions since this legislation was introduced highlights the need for action."
