Issue Position

Arizona families understand firsthand the serious problem of illegal immigration. The continued inability of the federal government to police existing immigration laws has weakened our national security and resulted in flagrant disregard of our national borders. Meanwhile, the patchwork of employment laws and insufficient resources to hold employers accountable who knowingly hire undocumented workers has led to an unacceptable status quo. As a member of the House of Representatives, I will:

Oppose any form of amnesty.

Secure the border by completing the fence and increasing Customs and Border Patrol personnel on the Arizona-Mexico border.

David vists AZ border and immigration officials

Support the efforts of Arizona and others states to enforce immigration laws where the federal government fails to do so.

Crack down on employers who knowingly hire undocumented workers.
Improve the employment verification system to end the job magnet that draws people to the United States illegally.

End sanctuary cities and punish those who harbor illegal immigrants.
