Issues: Taxes Government Budget and Spending
Rep. Gus Bilirakis (FL-09) issued the following statement after President Obama released his FY 2013 budget, which calls for $3.8 trillion in spending and would add another $1 trillion to the nation's deficit:
"For the fourth straight year, President Obama's budget fails to seriously address our nation's debt crisis and calls for higher taxes and increased stimulus spending, which is not a recipe for long-term economic growth. Instead, we need credible solutions that simplify the tax code, control federal spending, and preserve valuable services for seniors."
