SCHUMER ANNOUNCES $75,150 FOR WOMEN'S VENTURE FUND

Funds will be used to help provide training and resources to low income women entrepreneurs

US Senator Charles E. Schumer today announced that the US Small Business Administration's Sustainability Women's Business Center Program will award $75,150 to the Women's Venture Fund in New York City. The funds will be used to support the Women's Venture Fund's work to target low income women entrepreneurs and provide mentoring, training and resources in New York.

"The economy depends on small business owners, and this funding will help women who have excellent business ideas and the right mix of determination, skill and intellect, but lack resources and training," Schumer said.
