SCHUMER ANNOUNCES OVER $160,000 FOR EAST HARLEM BUSINESS CAPITAL CORPORATION
Funds will be used to offer training and resources to assist low income entrepreneurs
US Senator Charles E. Schumer today announced that the East Harlem Business Capital Corporation will be awarded a PRIME grant totaling $161,788 from the US Small Business Administration (SBA). The funding will be used in reaching out to low income individuals in the community who want to be self-employed and start a business, but lacks the tools, resources and information.
"Small businesses are the backbone of the economy and entrepreneurs in East Harlem need the resources, tools and guidance to get their businesses up and running and help move this economy forward," Schumer said.
