Turner Statement on Tactical Nuclear Arms in Europe

Congressman Mike Turner, Chairman of the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Strategic Forces, released the following statement reaffirming the commitments our Nation has made to our NATO allies:

"Section 1237 of the FY12 National Defense Authorization Act, which I authored, makes clear that the United States has no intention of abandoning our commitments to our NATO allies. As Chairman of the U.S. Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, I know our NATO allies interest in this pledge, especially when budget decisions are forcing the U.S. to withdraw much of our conventional presence in Europe."
