Every child born in this country owes $200,000 toward the national debt and unfunded federal obligations. It is imperative that we act now to stop deficit spending. Thomas supports the "penny plan" which cuts the federal budget by 1% each year until the budget is balanced. American families must live within their means, and so should the government.
