Approaching 1000th Day Without a Budget, Democrats Continue to Shirk Basic Responsibility of Governing

U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX), a member of the Senate Budget and Finance Committees, issued the following statement ahead of the 1000th day since Senate Democrats last passed a budget:

"Senate Democrats continue to shirk one of the most basic responsibilities of governing, spending $9.4 trillion and adding another $4 trillion to the debt in the nearly 3 years they have failed to produce a budget.

"Approaching the 1000th day without a budget Americans must decide if we can afford to keep Democrats in charge."
