Issue Position

While fossil fuels will be a part of our portfolio of energy sources for a long time to come, we see the consequences of our ever-greater dependence on fossil fuels in rising gas prices, national security problems, and environmental disasters. Increased domestic production of fossil fuels is a temporary solution, so we must embark on a sustained search for long-term cost-effective, alternative, renewable energy sources. We will also need to continue to invest in greater ways to conserve energy as well.
