Issue Position

While Congress has not introduced a single jobs bill, it has introduced numerous pieces of legislation intended to chip away at women's reproductive rights. From crusades to de-fund Planned Parenthood to efforts to keep insurers from covering necessary reproductive health services, their war on reproductive rights rages on. I strongly support a woman's right to choose and am proud to have received the endorsement of Personal PAC in my race for State Comptroller in 2010. My wife Priya, a physician, sees the importance of guaranteeing reproductive health services as well-- an area in which the Department of Health and Human Services has made great strides in implementing the Affordable Care Act. I am also committed to ensuring equal economic opportunities for women and the elimination of gender-based discrimination.
