After voting for legislation to crack down on Iran's nuclear program, Rep. Gary Peters released the following statement:
"I am pleased that Congress has taken action on legislation I have supported to increase sanctions and pressure on the Iranian regime. A nuclear Iran would pose an existential threat to Israel, destabilize the Middle East and threaten the security of the United States and Europe. Iran must never be allowed to have a nuclear weapon and I will continue to support strong legislation and sanctions to achieve that goal."
