"Today's positive jobs numbers is welcomed news, especially around the Holidays. We need to keep this momentum going. However, we cannot forget that millions of Americans are still out of work, and millions more are underemployed. Unemployment has stubbornly stayedat or above 8% for 34 straight months.
"House Republicans have worked across party lines to pass over two dozen bills to create jobs, streamline regulations, expand energy exploration and make government more accountable. Unfortunately, party politics have kept these bills from seeing the light of day in the United States Senate. We need to work together to keep our economy going in the right direction."
