Schumer Announces Over $2 Million for Public Housing in Jamestown

SCHUMER ANNOUNCES OVER $2 MILLION FOR PUBLIC HOUSING IN JAMESTOWN

Funds will be used to expand affordable housing for low-income families

US Senator Charles E. Schumer today announced that the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has awarded $2,122,277 in funding to the city of Jamestown to be used to bolster public housing in Jamestown. Schumer said that the funds will help more families in Jamestown obtain higher quality homes.

"This funding will allow local authorities to make public housing facilities in the area better places to call home," said Schumer. "These programs will help public housing residents have more options and a real chance to take control of their lives. I look forward to working with the Jamestown housing authorities to ensure the success of these programs."
