U.S. Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) issued this statement in response to another bipartisan opposition to the President's second stimulus:

"On three separate occasions a bipartisan group of Senators has rejected the President's second stimulus. The American people want a new strategy for jobs, and a good start would be the Republicans' paid-for highway bill or any one of the forgotten 15 jobs bills passed by the House and gathering dust on the Majority Leader's desk."
