Issue Position

Ryan strongly believes that Virginia taxpayers both want and deserve th keep as much of their hard earned money as possible. That's why he works hard to decrease the tax burden on all Virginians. One example is his legislative initiative to create a back to school sales tax holiday which would provide much needed relief for thousands of families as they purchase necessary school items for their children. Ryan also introduced legislation that led to the elimination of both the state sales tax on groceries and the accelerated sales tax collection on small business. Ryan knows that increasing government efficiency, cutting wasteful spending, reducing existing taxes and sticking to our past promises of tax relief are important and reachable goals.
