Hoeven Proclaims September 11 Day Of Prayer And Remembrance In North Dakota

Gov. John Hoeven today proclaimed Saturday, September 11 a Day of Prayer and Remembrance in North Dakota to remember the tragic events of September 11, 2001, and the thousands of innocent lives lost that day.

"North Dakotans are encouraged to take time to pause and reflect on that fateful day and its impact on our lives and world," Hoeven said. "By joining together in prayer and remembrance to honor those who were lost and to pray for those who grieve, we will bring continued hope and strength to our great state and nation.

"On this day, we also pray for our brave men and women and their families who are defending our freedoms in foreign lands and the thousands of professional and volunteer law enforcement, fire and emergency medical services officials who are working tirelessly to secure our homeland. We especially remember our fallen heroes and their families who have made the ultimate sacrifice in fighting the war on terrorism and protecting our way of life."
