Congresswoman Hochul Speaks At Event To Unveil Make It In America Documentary

Today, Congresswoman Kathy Hochul and numerous House Democrats joined together to unveil a "Make It In America" documentary, outlining how to get Western New Yorkers, and all Americans, back to work. The documentary highlights how Democrats' Make It In America plan will revitalize American industry and innovation, create jobs, and grow our economy.

"No one on this planet can out innovate, out work or out think good old fashioned American ingenuity," said Congresswoman Hochul. "Two weeks ago, I met with industrialist Jack Davis at his manufacturing facility, I Squared R Element. Jack is on the verge of expanding his 80,000 square foot facility to 116,000 square feet, and upping his workforce to over 100.

"As we spoke about the challenges of keeping jobs here in this country, and competition from companies that ship jobs overseas, I presented Jack with a "Make It In America' hat and thanked him for keeping American jobs in the United States. I wanted Jack and others to know that there are plenty of us that get it. If Congress will adopt this comprehensive package -- to help rebuild our manufacturing base and create jobs -- we can and will restore the pride that this magnificent country deserves."

The Make It In America documentary features Members of the Democratic Caucus, labor leaders and manufacturers.

Following the press conference, Congresswoman Hochul participated in a Twitter Town Hall with other Members of Congress and Americans across the country, where they discussed the need to pass the American Jobs Act that will help make more products in America.
