Today Rep. Gary Peters issued the following statement denouncing Lansing Republicans attack on teachers unions:
"As families work to pay their bills and improve the lives of their children, Republicans in Lansing have decided that their top priority is to attack teachers. Teachers across our state work very hard to give our children the brightest future possible. As a father, I think teachers should have a good salary and decent benefits. Republicans in Lansing should stop wasting time demonizing teachers unions and start focusing on the issues that matter like creating jobs and improving our schools."
