Weekly Wrap-Up

Statement

Dear Neighbors,

While many of us have enjoyed the summer season and its accompanying activities, Labor Day has passed us by, and the fall temperatures are quickly making their presence known to us again. After spending much of the past several weeks meeting with and hearing from folks throughout south central Michigan, I returned to Washington this week, ready to continue the hard work ahead of getting our economy growing again and encouraging private-sector job creation. Recent job numbers show zero job growth, and people throughout Michigan continue to be impacted by the lack of good-paying jobs. The policies pursued by President Obama have not worked. That is why I will continue to advance proven job creation policies like reducing unnecessary regulations that hold businesses back, encouraging energy jobs through domestic energy production, and enacting across the board tax relief to encourage investment, hard work, and job creation. Unfortunately, the President and the Senate continue to block these good ideas. It's time to stop playing games and get America working again.

Sincerely,

Congressman Tim Walberg
