Press Release

Date: Sept. 15, 2011
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Jeff Landry (R, LA-03) has been recognized by the Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) for his 100% pro-worker legislative score. For his distinguished service, Landry will be honored at an event on Capitol Hill later this month.

"I am proud to be recognized as a legislator who fights for workers' rights," said Landry. "As the representative for Louisiana's 3rd District, I know how important it is for employees to be free from coercion during union elections and unencumbered by onerous government regulations."

"I have spent my time in Congress fighting hard against overly restrictive labor laws, the National Labor Relations Board, and big government," continued Landry. "And I will continue to represent the hard-working people of South Louisiana by advancing sensible labor policies in Congress."

Landry, who will be honored at a reception on September 21st in the Cannon House Office Building, concluded, "I am grateful for the CEI's award and humbled by the recognition."
