Date: Sept. 8, 2011
Location: Washington, DC

Tonight Rep. Gary Peters issued the following response to President Obama's address to the joint session of Congress.

"Since the Republicans took control of the House nine months ago, they have yet to pass a single jobs bill. Families are facing hard times and they are sick of the Tea Party and Washington games, they want real solutions that will move our economy forward and create jobs. Tonight President Obama laid out a comprehensive plan to create jobs and the Republicans should end the gridlock and pass the American Jobs Act."
