Baldwin Agrees "It's Time We Take Bold Action"

Statement

Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) responded to President Obama's speech tonight saying:

"It was great to hear the President make a strong demand for action now. I have been fighting to put people back to work right away rebuilding our crumbling roads and bridges and schools.

I listen daily to constituents who have incredible stories of their struggles -- dipping into their retirement savings or children's college funds, working two jobs, yet earning less than they were a few years ago.

The middle class is taking it on the chin in both the economic and political environments. It's time to confront the game-playing in Washington and declare that now is the time to come together to respond to the crisis facing our nation -- jobs and the economy.

It's time we take bold action."
