Today Maryland Congressman Chris Van Hollen issued the following statement on the passing of Saul Solorzano, President of CARECEN (Central American Resource Center):

"I was saddened to hear of the passing of Saul Solorzano -- a true leader and a tireless advocate for over 20 years. From human rights and civil justice to education and health, Saul's commitment to improving the lives of the Latino community in our region was unwavering. His work and his indefatigable spirit will be deeply missed, but his legacy will never be forgotten. My thoughts are with his family and all those who knew him."
