Dear friend,
My name is Dr. Becky Woodrick, and I a supporter of Mayor Johnny DuPree in his quest to be Mississippi's next governor.
Before this race, I've never felt moved to donate money to any candidate for political office but for Johnny, I did -- and here's why.
I appreciate and admire the fact that Johnny Dupree treats everyone with respect. Your color, race, religious beliefs, gender, age or even your political affiliations matter not to Johnny. In Johnny's eyes, you are a fellow human being and that fact alone, in his ethical view of the world, compels him to treat all people he encounters with dignity.
I appreciate the fact that when I or others talk to Johnny, you know you have his FULL attention. He actually LISTENS. He first focuses on you and what you are saying, and only when you have been heard does he respond. In my experience, that's a rare characteristic for anyone, much less a political figure.
I appreciate his ability to achieve consensus among disparate groups of folks. That trait gives him an edge on the daunting task of overcoming the frustrating "business/politics as usual" approach that many Mississippi voters -- myself included -- feel during most legislative sessions.
In the end, it comes down to the fact that I've seen firsthand the kind of leader Johnny DuPree is. He's proven to me -- and to countless other Mississippians -- that he is a caring man, a man of integrity and a man who can lead our state admirably.
I hope you will join me in supporting Johnny DuPree for Governor. If you can make a contribution, please do so at http://www.johnnydupree.com/11in2011/11in11.php.
If you can volunteer, go sign up at http://www.johnnydupree.com/volunteer.php.
But most importantly, please vote Johnny DuPree for Governor in the Aug. 2 Democratic Primary!
Sincerely,
Dr. Becky Woodrick
