Statement of Governor Warner on the Petition for Clemency for Earl Conrad Bramblett

Governor Mark R. Warner tonight issued the following statement on the scheduled execution of Earl Conrad Bramblett by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
"Mr. Bramblett was convicted in 1997 of the capital murder of Winter Ashley Hodges and the first degree murders of William Blaine Hodges, Teresa Fulcher Hodges, and Anah Michelle Hodges. The death sentence imposed on Mr. Bramblett has been reviewed and affirmed by several courts, including the Supreme Court of Virginia and the Supreme Court of the United States.
"After a thorough review of the Petition for Clemency and the judicial opinions regarding this case, I decline to intervene."
