GREAT SURPRISE: GREENSPAN SAYS WE SHOULD CUT SOCIAL SECURITY AND MEDICARE AFTER HE SUPPORTS TAX BREAKS FOR THE RICH

The only good thing we can say about Alan Greenspan, Chairman of the Federal Reserve, is that he is consistent - always representing the interests of the rich and multi-national corporations. Greenspan, who strongly supports our current trade policies that have run up record breaking trade deficits and have cost us millions of decent paying manufacturing jobs, also believes that we should ABOLISH the minimum wage. (Yes. That's right. He has said that publicly). Now, after supporting Bush's huge tax give-away of hundreds of billions to the very wealthiest people in our country, Chairman Greenspan worries that with such a deep national debt (that Bush's tax breaks helped create) we should begin the process of cutting back on Social Security and Medicare. In a nutshell, that's what Alan Greenspan and his right-wing friends are all about. More wealth and income for the very rich, while cutting back on the needs of working families, the elderly and the sick. What a guy!
