Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart Urges Floridians to Make Final Preparations for Hurricane Frances
WASHINGTON-Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (R-Fla.) today strongly urged that Floridians start making their final preparations for Hurricane Frances now.
"Hurricane Frances is currently being projected to hit the coast of Florida sometime early Saturday morning," Diaz-Balart said. "If you have not already taken precautions, I urge everyone to start making your final preparations now. Whether this storm ultimately hits Miami or West Palm Beach, this storm must be taken seriously by everyone in South Florida. We hope for the best but must prepare for the worst."
"If Hurricane Frances continues to maintain its wind strength," Diaz-Balart continued, "it will be the first time that a state has been hit by two Category 4 hurricanes in the same year, much less within just weeks of each other."
