Cornyn, Senate Republicans Call for Vote on Balanced Budget Amendment

U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-Texas) today joined his Senate Republican colleagues in calling for a vote on a consensus Balanced Budget Amendment to the Constitution, which is backed by every Republican Senator, to bring much-needed fiscal discipline back to Washington:

"A Balanced Budget Amendment to the U.S. Constitution will be yet another example of how Washington can learn from Texas about fiscal discipline. Families across Texas have to balance their budgets and make tough choices to live within their means--there is no reason their government should operate any differently."
