REP. SESSIONS: Mr. Chairman, may I see the hands of those who believe there's waste in federal government? (Cheers.) It's unanimous. Budgetary mismanagement robs the taxpayer and starves resources for homeland security. In 2001, your federal government lost over $17 billion due to poor recordkeeping.

As chairman of the Results Caucus, I worked with President Bush to pass one measure that will save almost a billion dollars alone. Thanks to President Bush, more reforms are coming. America, if you want to cut wasteful federal spending, then vote for those who are doing something about it: President Bush and the Republican Congress. (Cheers, applause.)
