President Obama Blames Americans for the Bad Economy
Congressman John Fleming, M.D. released the following statement today responding to President Obama's offensive comment during his speech at an Alcoa plant yesterday. In reference to the U.S. becoming more competitive in the world economy and creating jobs President Obama said, "you had to up your game. And that's what we've got to do as a country as a whole."
"This once again shows how out of touch and naïve President Obama is when it comes to fixing this economy. It is insulting and offensive that he would blame hardworking Americans who are struggling to make ends meet as a result of his FAILED economic policies. President Obama turned this economy from bad to far beyond worse. It is President Obama's failed economic policies that have driven us deeper into debt and mortgaged our childrens' future to the Chinese," said Congressman Fleming.
Congressman Fleming added, "Mr. President, instead of upping your game on the golf course for the past 13 weekends why don't you up YOUR game on fixing this economy NOW. Instead of constantly attacking job creators, why don't you embrace job creators? Instead of real solutions that will lower energy prices, you embrace political solutions to our energy problems. You are doing everything possible to stymie this economy. I support the Republican Budget that creates jobs, expands our economy, reforms entitlements, and tackles our debt and deficit WITHOUT raising taxes. Where is your plan? So far, I haven't seen any."
