Illegal immigration is a growing problem across our country as well as Arkansas--endangering both our economy and citizens.
During my time as Mayor of Rogers, I implemented Section 287(G) of the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act. Through this program, six Rogers police officers received specialized training from U.S. Immigration and Customs (ICE) agents, and they are now able to use a legal tool made available by the federal government to preserve the quality of life and the safety of citizens in Rogers.
This is why I strongly support strengthening the laws against illegal immigration, and removing incentives for illegal immigrants to enter our country.
Immigration reform is key, and we need to enforce our existing laws as well as create new laws to increase our ability to monitor who is in our country.
