Did you see the news out of Hattiesburg this morning? Sales tax revenues are up more than 3 percent over budgeted projections!

Instead of having to cut services or take away jobs, the City of Hattiesburg under the leadership of Mayor Johnny DuPree has been doing just the opposite. They created more than 1,000 jobs last year, recruited a half billion dollar industry this year and have not raised taxes in the 10 years Johnny DuPree has been mayor.
